What a difference a week (and a clear run) makes!
Seven days after being beaten seven lengths by Bockos Doomie and being pushed out to 8-1 in the ante post lists, King Sheeran clocked the fastest time of the night in the Sussex Cup first round and was clipped to 3-1 to win out in a fortnight’s time.
Liz McNair’s runner was back in his favourite striped jacket when producing a 29.72 run for Hove’s 515 metres and will be joined in the semi finals by the prolific Cat 1 finalists and litter brothers Kings Dylan and Lennon.
Bockos Doomie – 11-4 from 3-1 to take the trophy – showed his class and vulnerability when overcoming early crowding to clock 30.26.
