Mark Wallis might have bemoaned the loss of several kennel stars for this year’s Coral Regency, though it seems unlikely that any of the absent would have challenged the brilliant Antigua Fire at the top of the betting list.
In a stunning first round performance, the powerful black was almost five lengths quicker than his closest rival in the markets with a 41.45 (N) run for the 695 metres. The 2019 decider was won by Aayamza Breeze in 41.42 (-15). Fire has now been clipped to 6-4f after drawing a semi final that includes two kennelmates. (See below)
