Razldazl Raidio (Razldazl Rioga-Razldazl Marilyn, Apr 14) gave an exhibition performance to win a CENTRAL PARK hurdle open by ten and a half lengths. Ricky Holloway’s 1-5f was dominant from trap rise and covered the 480mH course in 29.11, some 14 spots outside the track record held by kennelmate Sober Call.

To put the run into further perspective, the time was 19 spots quicker than the fastest flat race on the card, an A1 won by Sporting Gift. Raidio has now won 31 of his 43 races.

Champion trainer Mark Wallis rattled off a four-timer on HENLOW’s Sunday evening card.

The pick of the bunch was Super veteran Clondoty Alex (Razldazl Jayfkay-Castlehill Alex, May 13) who landed his 12th open race win of the year with a stunning run over the standard. Contesting the 75th race of his career, the 10-11f was racing over course and distance for the ninth time. Win number seven was achieved in the quickest time of the lot, 27.24.

Shlowdown Sally (Confident Rankin-Roll On Rover, Mar 14) landed the fastest sprint of the year. In a messy race, the 4-5f clocked 16.35, just nine spots outside Droopys Bocelli’s track record. Kennelmate Cotton Pants (Lenson Bolt-Fairly Cloudy, Jul 14), fresh from three defeats over two bends, twice behind Sally, ran a cracker over the ‘short four’. The brindle and white (5-4f) clocked 25.59 for the 428m, just six spots slower than Idle Talker’s FOY.

The quartet was completed by another veteran, Airforce Duchess (Definate Opinion-Ranchers Star, Apr 13), contesting her 70th race. The 9-4 chance led up and then held off favourite Rio San Marino by half a length in 33.25 (+15).

The Wallis five-timer was stymied by Eric Cantillon’s Durrow Warbler (Crash-Doonalley Jun, Sep 14) in the 692m last race. The contest had looked at the mercy of Wallis’ prolific open winner Saffron Tina, but when she missed her break, the was Warbler, first time over the trip following consecutive defeats in A6, who took full advantage in a respectable 42.62 (FOY 42.25). The ‘Blackrose’ man had earlier picked up a puppy event with 27.71 winner Droopys Natalia (Tullymurry Act-Groupie Doll, Aug 15).

Perhaps the most ‘interesting’ winner of the night was Ben McBride’s Primo Lucky (Kinloch Brae-Ardmayle Candy, Feb 14). The Swindon S1 winner was back over four bends in a 460 maiden and popped up with a very convincing 27.40 (+10) victory.
