Bernard Rogers made a great debut appearance in the challenge and netted a £75 profit, courtesy of local hound Daddys Prince at MONMORE. It seems the ante has been raised with owner Peter Richards and trainer Alan Jenkins bigging themselves up to take him down a peg or two. Bring it on – next Saturday. No gouging, no biting, no holding. Arse kicking is permitted.
As for Big Kev – we’ll have better nights. Hopefully he’ll be back when the bruising goes.
At SHEFFIELD Carl Perry was confident of two ‘nailed ons’. The first one was withdrawn, the second was beaten a head. (-£50). Darren Driver had a winner and a second, but the 4-5 return meant a £10 loss. But the night’s biggest loser was Glynn Dobbs (-100).
CENTRAL PARK
A quick reminder, last Sunday Patrick Janssens left Central Park with a virtual £360. Tony ‘The Syrup’ finished with an imaginary £150 wad (No, he really did win! We know, we were surprised too!).
But for all his Ayrshire blather, Rab Boom McNair felt in his pocket and all he could feel was a hole and a warm leg)
