Bellmore Sally might already have the unofficial title, but she will surely secure the mantle of Crayford’s Greatest Of All Time should she secure this morning’s Jay & Kay Coach Tours Kent St Leger.
Having already landed two Golden Jackets and a TV Trophy, Neil McGregor’s brindle has the one blemish on her card, a second place behind 10-1 chance Rising Coco in the 2022 Kent St Leger decider. She is currently trading at 2-5f in a fabulous field which included Golden Jacket second and third, Roll On Sydney and Olga.
Make no mistake, this is Sally’s toughest test to date, but the Crayford locals and many watching on betting shop screens, will be hoping for another exhibition from a true champion.
