Derby winner Salad Dodger returns to racing on Saturday night for a full card of William Hill Derby trialstakes.
Kevin Berwick’s British bred has drawn red in the ninth race of a 13-race card and will take on Juvenile winner Ballymac Brogan, and track record holder Fiery Splendour.
The best night’s racing of the year at Wimbledon thus far also features a clash between Arc winner Kippers Usain, Golden Crest winner Aimnfire, last week’s fastest trialstake winner See No Gamble, and the dog generally rated as Graham Holland’s first string, Clares Wonder.
Add in Southfield Jock, Viking Jack, ‘In It to Win It’ winners Jolly Redeye, and Ballymac Vickson and you have a night as good as any Derby first round.
