Open race action at both Central Park and Towcester this afternoon with the undoubted highlight of the day being the £12,500 to the winner category one final of the Arena Racing Company Kent Plate.  The betting for the final revolves around the Mark Wallis trained HOPES PADDINGTON and Liz McNair’s Fromposttopillar with preference for Wallis’s runner on the draw.  Paddington could just secure first run on the McNair trained greyhound and that could prove decisive.
The afternoon’s racing at Central Park starts at 204pm with the first open race taking place at 326pm and over at Towcester racecourse it’s a full afternoon of open race action starting at 157pm right through to the last race on the card at 602pm.

Tony Collett’s DIEGOS TY was beaten in a top grade D1 here last week but had won four in a row over course and distance in previous weeks including 3 in open company.  He’s a classy sort and can get back on the winning trail.
Over at Towcester the best bet on the card looks to be late into the afternoon as Diane Henry’s SAVANA HEROSS makes his UK debut.  Known as Jacktavern Hero in a lightly raced career on Irish soil this May 2021 youngster has looked every inch an open race stayer and the pace shown in four bend trials here at Towcester including runs of 2968 and 2986 highlight he’ll not be devoid of pace in the opening metres against stronger staying sorts.  He should prove too good for today’s rivals before moving onto bigger and better things over the coming months.
