We normally takes a few lines to extol the tipping expertise from the previous day. Patrick Janssens lumped £50 on a 4-9 winner. That didn’t take long. Thanks Patrick!

Meanwhile, Tony Collett is running a protection racket. ‘A brown envelope, nicely padded with twenty quid notes, or I will tip your dog”.

A Collett selection is proving to be the equivalent of asking your dog to run in wellies.

NOTTINGHAM

Was fully expecting Peter Harnden to go missing this week after his big win on Friday night. He’s out there again though. That’s brave – given the stick he might be getting tomorrow morning.

Caulry Daisy (R5 T1) Terry Munslow has had a bit of a slump by his standards lately but is a trainer I rate very highly. He can see this one boosting his winners this month. £50 win
Salacres Pebbles (R11 T4) I just felt she needed a small break between her two most recent races and it worked the oracle as she came back with a bang. There’s not too much early in this race and I can see her making all again though she doesn’t want our other representative Salacres Winner dropping on her tail as she stays on extremely well. £50 win

Mark Pierrepont

Blythe Calamity (R2 T2)- progressive young bitch for trainer Jill Llewellin who was improving through the grades pre lock down when heading from A7 to A3.  Yet to win in four starts since comeback but has run well enough in defeat and her last time out second when finishing runner up to Burghead Franby over 480m was a step firmly in the right direction.  Led for a long way and though back run by Franby it was interesting to note that Calamity was a couple of lengths clear again as they reached the pick up.  Any kind of break and she looks certain to lead on the inside of the track and though there are a couple of strong runners in this A4 field she can have enough in hand to hold on despite the step up in trip to 500m £25 win.
Tickity Jimmy (R7 T3) Anna Thompson’s August 18 pup faces his toughest test to date , facing a double upgrade to A5 after a 9 1/2 length A7 demolition job last time out.  He’s a strapping dog who tipped the scales at 36.9 kilo last week and is still open to any amount of improvement.  I fancy him to smash out and make all and continue his march through the grades £25 win.
Swift Lockjaw (R10 T5) Not the strongest of runners but looks sure to lead up and in what is a weak enough A4 that should be enough to see Lynn Cook’s greyhound home in front £50 win.

YARMOUTH

Tonight sees a debutant in Nicky Skiggs who is currently kennelhand to Paul Burr and a return for Jason Seeley.

My one and only pick tonight goes in the A1 on the card and that’s Our Boy Jack (R7 T1). He’s a very classy dog who I like a lot. Without a doubt he’s an open class dog in an A1, which can be said for a few of these but I just think he has the slight class edge. He found trouble after not coming away so well at Hove last week when he took part in a Sussex cup trial stake but that aside he can get the job done tonight. £100 win
£50 win

Jason Seeley

Three selections from Jason tonight with the first of those going in race eight Trevets Blue (R8 T2). Jason said, “I have to say that this card was tough and very tightly graded and I struggled to find a really decent one but have come up on Trevets Blue for my first selection. This looks like it is set up for David Carters charge to latch on to the tail of Tyrap Ali and finish the stronger to take the prize. Killglen Tess will also be finishing fast and late but I think that Blue will find some time as he had only had the 9 races and is bound to improve” £20 win
For his second selection Ferndale So (R9 T4), for Maurice Rice. Jason said, “ This looks intriguing as there is some nice youngsters in the race and my selection is one of them for trainer Maurice Rice, she did a nice trial back in March clocking 28.43 and her last two runs haven’t been too far off that. She took a little bump around the 1st bend last week too. Richard Clarke’s runner in trap 2 has completed some nice qualifying trials but is yet to race. £30 win
For Jason’s final selection it’s Duty Calls (R12 T1) in the lucky last for Erica Samuels. Jason said, “Finishing the night off with a sprint contest and draws mean everything in sprints and I think that Duty Calls has a nice one here on the inside he is very consistent in his splits in his 462m races and if he turns the bend clear he will go close.” £50 win
Nicky Skiggs:
Nicky has also gone for 3 selections so there’s plenty to follow tonight. The first of those starts with Foxy Eva (R4 T1). Nicky said, “Followed her since she was graded on. The night she gets the traps right it will be all over. Was coming to win last week and ran into traffic on home straight very unlucky!” £50 win
For the second selection Nicky has gone for kennel runner Roxys Emma (R5 T2).  Nicky said, “Since her 1st few races she has always ran on strong to the trip. Going in blind over the trip but definitely for a small bit of intrest she could be there abouts. Few with previous C&D wins but going for value. £25 win
The last for Nicky is Swithins Bird (R11 T1). Nicky said, “Few reasons why but if he is laying handy at the 3rd bend I would fancy him as sees the trip out well.” £25 win
