Karlow Master again set the standard in the Langton House Hotel & TSC Derby over 525 yards at Kilkenny.

Henry Kelly’s runner was soon clear and went on to beat Salmon Lad by three and a half lengths in 29.25sec.

Anne Guilfoyle’s Kilcarrig Cillie made all the running in the third qualifier and went on to beat Derryhogan Flame by four lengths in 29.37sec.

Murt Leahy’s High Street Flash was a trap to line winner of the opening qualifier when slamming Shaneboy Emily by seven lengths in 29.32sec.

Paul and Patrick Cushen’s Raheen Glory was never headed in heat two when turning over the hot favourite Burgess Four by two and a half lengths in 29.40sec.
