Maree Champion, Seamus Cahill’s talented young open racer, has broken down with a suspected broken bone in a solo trial at Hove.

The beaten Seasons Scaffolding finalist, who went on to beat New Destiny in a match race, had only recently returned from injury when he “CheckedBadly&HitRails¼” and failed to complete the course.

Though serious, the injury is not considered life threatening.

Seamus said: “He is with the vet who will keep him comfortable overnight and we will find out what the prognosis is in the morning.”
