Razldazl Luke (Royal Impact-Razldazl Alice, Mar 14) didn’t let his supporters down for a second time. The Dolores Ruth bred and trainer youngster, who was beaten at 1-2f on debut, bounced back in amazing style to land his heat of the Red Mills/Track Supporters Unraced Stake at Clonmel.

The 73lb white and black who had a 28.12 qualifying trial at Shelbourne Park on his card, had stumbled at the traps in the first round and been beaten 11 lengths. There were no such problems on his re-appearance as he rocketed clear for a 10 length win in 28.37 (-10). To put the run into perspective, last year Ballydoyle Honey produced a best run of 28.50 in the same stake.

There was a double for the kennel when Razldazl Tierna (a 28.30 Shelbourne trialist) retained his unbeaten tag with a 28.68 run on similar going. Last week he clocked 28.53.

Colarhouse Jim (28.91) and Jumeirah Delboy (28.98) also broke 29.00 when landing their heats. The remaining qualifiers went to Coolavanny Wendy (29.06) and Shaneboy Style (29.33).
