The amazing Brookside Richie is once race away from landing a third Category One event in just his 15th ever race, though Central Park Racing Manager Rob Killingbeck reckons it could be his toughest yet.

He said: “It is an absolutely cracking final and it is no surprise that all the attention will be on David Mullins’ dog. To be honest, we weren’t sure that we could accept him because we didn’t think he had any local form, but we checked back and he had trialed with us earlier in his career.

“But he will have plenty to do given how the draw has worked out. Ballynabee Lucky, who was third last year, has enough early pace to lead on his inside, though I could picture Hilight Arkle leading the field to the bend. But then you also have Antigua Storm, who hasn’t had a clear run yet, being right up there.

“It is our biggest race of the year and we couldn’t have asked for a better final”

Betting: Evens Brookside Richie, 7-2 Hilight Arkle, 9-2 Antigua Storm, 5-1 Ballynabee Lucky, 25-1 Galaxy Freedom, Lenson Doolin
