Jaytee Jet (Droopys Scolari-Chin Gach Gook, Sep 13) was just four spots off his personal best for Shelbourne’s 550 yards with an impressive semi final win of the Ladbrokes Easter Cup.
The 5-4 chance clocked his best ever sectional (3.37) when disputing the early lead with Skywalker Rory (T4) and Lenson Sanchez (T1) who crowded each other at the bend. Jet took a wide course and led off the second bend before crossing the line in 29.34, the distances over Rory and Sanchez were two and a half a one.
The other semi went to red jacketed specialist Slippery Fred (4-6f) who beat Peregrine Falcon and Only For Life by four and three in 29.58.
