26 heats of the Boylesports Irish Derby dominated racing this weekend and the trio of Shelbourne choices are unimaginatively selected on the basis of being the three fastest winning times.

The quickest of the lot was the Michael O’Donovan trained Another Holiday with the FOY for course and distance.

There were 10 races on the card at Dundalk on Saturday, six were won by Droopys Sydney offspring including all four second round heat winners of the Ulster Sprint Cup.

Quickest of the quartet was Pat Buckley’s Road Exile who bettered his own FOY with a 20.84 run – 11 spots outside the track record.

Furth north, Wipe That Smile landed the delayed Ulster Sprint Puppy Cup Final at Drumbo Park.

A mention too for Derry sprint record holder Sniper Ria who first appeared on a track in January 2020 but returned to racing last week at Derry and clocked the fifth fastest run of the year.
