At Shelbourne Park, 9-1 shot Bogger Hunter landed the Gold Cup Final, though the fastest time of the night went to The Other Kobe whose 28.37 was identical to his ‘Night Of Stars’ win.
Last week Ryhope Beach clocked 28.12, the joint fastest run in the opening round of the Juvenile Classic at Tralee. A week on and Alison Bandurak’s youngster kept the fastest time to himself with an identical run.
Meanwhile at Limerick, the trialstakes for the Kirby Memorial are already proving a draw in themselves. Quickest on Saturday was May pup Pape De Oro.
Derry staged two heats of a 745 yard event this week. Lady Jo Ann broke the track with a 41.85 run. The other heat was won in 43.07.
