At Clonmel, Swords Rex continues to dominate the Produce Stakes to make it 15 races, 10 wins, 4 seconds and he renews his membership to the ‘sub28 club’. His best to date is 27.93. It is a very exclusive club that he shares with the Holland’s house pet Clares Rocket who did it three times back in 2016 with a best of 27.87.
At Tralee, Tullig Cyrname completed his domination of the Lee Stand 550 with an impressive win in the €6,500 final. That is a career record of 7:7. While the brilliant Flashing Willow took five spots off the sprint track record.
At Shelbourne Park, puppy Raha Mofo clocked the fastest time in the second round of the Irish Oaks. Look out too for puppy Da Missing Man with a fast time over the lightly used Kilkenny sprint trip.
Last but not least one of the very early Pestana pups, Silverspring Ria with a 28.92 run at Waterford. The fastest of the week was a 28.60, but check out Ria’s age. In Britain she would still be considered too young to run qualifying trials.
