The Boylesports Irish Derby reached the quarter final stage on Saturday and quickest of the winners was the Graham Holland trained Jackslittlething who is looking more and more like the real deal as he completed a six-timer with a 29.23 run. He already has 29.10 form.
The patched up Ballymac Ariel was still good enough to account for Explosive Boy for a second consecutive week to make it seven from her last eight races. A mention too for puppy Droopys Gloss with a 29.32 run in the Michael Fortune Memorial Derby Plate.
Limerick staged the second round of the Cambridgeshire with the quickest of the three qualifiers going to Redzer Ruinart. Finally we found it impossible to split two 2020 whelps at Waterford with Twoinarow clocking 28.39 and the even younger Scooby Duchess notching up a 28.57 in the Munster Oaks semis.
