A fairly quiet start to the year the highlight being the final of the Shelbourne Marathon, won by favourite Garfiney Legend with eight lengths to spare. The meeting also featured a double for puppy littermates Toolmaker Stan and Droopys Lovable with the former marginally the quicker.
In fact, with the exception of the marathon star, and the brilliant, Wi Can Dream in the Eric Browne Kingdom Derby, for one week only, every selection this week will be a puppy.
