Clearly there was one outstanding performance of the week at Shelbourne Park when Rurual Hawaii fulfilled his destiny by landing the Irish Derby. Elsewhere there were plenty of other distinguished performances worthy of recognition.
It was impossible to split Riverdale Pal and Glenquin Ivy at Limerick, even though the latter is a pup, as they clocked identical times in the semi finals of a 600 yard stake. There was a similar situation at Waterford where Killure Reaper and Ballyhi Bucko dead-heated in the fastest 550 of the year and both make the table. We were a little more brutal at Longford, where three runners clocked identical fastest 525s of the week, though we did side toward the only pup in the trio, Olympic Bully.
There were also fastest standards of the year at Drumbo Park and Mullingar and both are acknowledged on the table.
