Former Shawfield handicapper Oran Hill recently switched to Graham Strike’s kennel at Sunderland and the dog, a March 2012 son of Oran Classic and Oran Majestic made the perfect start for his new handler at the Wearside racecourse.
Plunged in at the deep end, contesting and A1, he recovered well from a shaky start and early trouble to produce a powerful finish that carried him to a short head success over Elpaso City in 27.73 for the 450 metres.
