After eventually filling 12 opens last Sunday – Henlow are hoping for another bumper late entry for this week’s card which will be held open until – Thursday, at noon.
Racing manager Paul Mellor said: “As usual we have races over all distances plus a couple of additional races, a bitch and a puppy race.”
As for the grader’s plan to be ‘the next Slavan Bilic’ when picking his Track Championship team for Tuesday’s qualifying round, Mellor was more ‘Arsene Wenger’ after seeing Henlow well beaten into second place by Towcester.
“It was always about qualification” he confided.
