Pat Rosney’s highly rated youngster Farran Heaslip finally got off the mark at Sheffield on Tuesday night and there are some big plans in the line-up.
Much to the delight of his trainer, the dog finished strongly to defeat Glenpadden Oak by half a length in 29.14 for the 500 metres and he will be back at the track again next week for another look round the track.
“He is still a pup until March and we will make the most of that,” commented Rosney, “and I expect him to be part of the team that I hope to send to Sheffield next month for the Pinpoint Health and Homecare Three Steps To Victory.”
