Another high class Greyhound Trader online sale this weekend with lots going live from 6pm tonight and bidding set to close in 48 hours time at 6pm Sunday.  A chance to bid on 20 new lots plus the added bonus of being able to revisit bidding on two fantastic greyhounds hailing from the Townview kennels set up.  Influencers and Amys Jet failed to meet the valuations at the recent Oxford sale and the Matthews team had no hesitation in taking them back home.  Will they meet their true values this time around and will they be heading to a lucky new kennel ?  The online sale is previewed below and in full by Mark Pierrepont.
INFLUENCERS – unlimited improvement yet to come from this raw January 2022 bitch pup who broke the 30 second barrier at the first time of asking when clocking 2984 in a Kilkenny trial.  Showed plenty of early dash to lead up in her trial at the recent Oxford sale and though getting totally lost due to her inexperience she still managed to record 2794.  Bidding didn’t reach near to what connections wanted so they had no trouble taking this young lady back home.  Highly thought of young lady who will become a very welcome addition to any kennel in the land.
AMYS JET – March 2021 son of Ardnasool Jet and Alanas Beauty who made his career debut in the Champion Unraced Stake at Kilkenny.  Those who know anything about greyhound racing know that any pup starting their career in this much respected competition must be thought of in the highest possible terms.  This opinion was backed up in no uncertain fashion when he flew around Oxford recently in a fastest of the day sales trial of 2721.  A phenomenal run from a youngster of immense talent and without any doubt at all is one to go straight into the open race scene here in the UK.  On the day bidding didn’t get near to tempting connections into parting with this top-class greyhound and as such he is reappearing in the online sale.
BUTTSYS BINGO – unraced April 2021 son of Droopys Sydney and Killeacle Tammy an open class performer in her own right on the track who is regularly producing open and competition class greyhounds off it.  Bingo has just one four bend trial on the card and recorded a sensational 2884 at Shelbourne Park when winning a 2-dog trial by fully 10 lengths.  Bingo is destined for the open and competition circuit here in the UK and bidding is set to be fierce on this young lad.
RINGABELLA JACK – stunning unraced September 2021 son of Ballymac Cashout and Ballymac Arminta who after a superstar track career has gone on to produce top class off spring in the breeding paddocks.  Only last weekend Arminta saw two of her sons winning first round heats in the English Derby with Ballymac Joey and John setting the track alight.  Jack has just one four bend trial on his card and couldn’t have been any more impressive winning a 2-dog trial at Cork in a fabulous 2887.  No doubt at all this is a top-class puppy open race prospect.
BALLYMAC SHARK –three wins on the card of this sensational early paced son of Ballymac Cashout and Ballymac Scala.  Breeding doesn’t get much better with Scala of course being the dam of the likes of Ballymac Cooper and Ballymac Fairone the English Derby finalist.  Shark is a ready-made youngster for the open race scene here in England where his early pace will see him winning plenty.  So many options for this lad over the coming months.
BALLYMAC SALLAGH –set tongues wagging when going unbeaten through a quality sprint stake at Tralee in the first 3 races of her career with some sensational performances including 1748 in the semi and 1752 in the final.  Has struggled a little since stepping up to 4 bends but it’s all been a learning curve which should serve her well going forward.  Competed in the Irish Oaks at Shelbourne recently this lady has pace of that there is no question.
KRANKY LUCAS –September 2021 son of Droopys Sydney and Vigorous Lindsey who was a strong running sort on the track and has been producing some nice types away from it.  Lucas has just one trial on the card where he recorded 2892 Shelbourne Park just last weekend when running out a wide margin winner of a 2-dog trial.  Months of improvement to come and no saying just how far Lucas can go.
KRANKY JAMIE –Full brother to ‘Lucas’ detailed’ above and not far behind him based on his trials so far.  Started life off with a 2931 Shelbourne Park and followed that up next time out with an improved 2905.  Another nice type who has plenty left in the locker.
RINESTONE COWBOY (ex – Whiteys Fullback) –five-time race winner who has been competing in top grade at Newbridge lately and took full advantage of a drop into a Clonmel A2 last time out winning easily off the front.  Solid performer who should make top grade anywhere and looks the ideal type to get the job done early for new connections.
PRIMA MAXIMUS –Just five races on the card of this March 2021 son of Droopys Sydney and Roaming Shari winning two of them including a decent 2907 in the semi-final of an A5 stake at Cork before beaten as favourite last time out in the final.  Solid performer who should prove a nice addition to any kennel here in the UK.
BALLYDOYLE JET –unraced January 2022 son of Lenson Bocko and Ballydoyle Grace.  Has just one trial on the card recording 2935 Clonmel when beating off his sole rival by a wide margin.  Given his age and that he weighed in at a huge 83lb for that trial it can only be expected that there are many many lengths to come off his initial trial which surely marks him out as a competition class prospect.  Grace produced some decent performers in her first litter to Ballymac Best and being a daughter of Fear Emoski this is a line which has stamina written all over it.
RAPIDO MATEO –unraced February 2022 son of Ballymac Bolger out of Ela Juliet who showed no shortage of ability when recording 2969 in a four-bend trial at Waterford recently.  Absolutely no saying where this young lad will end up given his age with mother Juliet already a proven producer of some nice race winners in previous litters.
RAPIDO MARY –unraced December 2021 daughter of Droopys Buick and Scooter who stopped the clock in 2997 Waterford in the only trial on his card.  Scooter is a daughter of the fantastic brood Allen Harbour so the potential is undoubtedly there with this lady having been reared and schooled to perfection thus far.  Should win plenty on the track and maybe new connections will rightly have one eye on her brood prospects going forward.
TOAST OF CLARE –unraced September 2021 son of Good News and Bling Bling Lola who has ran out a wide margin winner of the only two trials on his card at Tralee with a 2984 effort over four bends followed up with a 1775 sprint.  Lola was a strong running performer on the track who has been producing some decent winners off it and this youngster should prove a solid addition to any kennel.
TOGETHER WE CAN –unraced September 2021 daughter of Droopys Sydney and Droopys Lagoon who highlighted exactly why she’s held in such high regard with a scintillating 2895 trial victory at Cork in what is so far the only mark on her card.  Lagoon was a super six bend performer on the track who many will remember ran superbly to finish runner up in the Corn Cuchulainn Final at Shelbourne Park in 2021.  This youngster should improve for experience and eventually when fully matured could be anything over sterner tests of stamina.
FULLMOON RISING –full sister to Together We Can detailed above and was beaten just a length in that aforementioned trial.  Not much between this pair and another high-class prospect.
ZARI WOLF –  October 2021 son of Droopys Sydney who made his debut just last night at Limerick winning by an incredible 9 1/2 lengths in a time of 29.22.  Weighing in at 80lb he understandably showed plenty of greenness especially at the first bend when running wide and there looks to be plenty left in the locker.  A dog who starts and stays he should be suited to most four bend trips here in the UK with a top grade and maybe even open class career no forlorn possibility.
WAIKIKI SPRING –unraced July 2021 son of Droopys Sydney and Geelo Champers who posted 3064 in the only four bend trial on his card to date.  All set to improve through the grades for new connections with all the hard work of rearing and schooling already complete.
RATHORPE KELLY –unraced September 2021 daughter of Pestana and Sober Pearl who ran out a length winner of the first trial of her life at Galway over 350 yards and has subsequently posted 3041 at the same venue over 525 yards.  Solid grader in the making who should more than pay her way.
WESTSIDE BOCKO –January 2022 son of Lenson Bocko and Ballydoyle Grace who produced some good class winners in her first litter to Ballymac Best and this litter have been showing even bigger potential.  Bocko has just one four bend trial on his card where he ran out a 5-length winner at Cork in 2925.  Above average sort who given his age will continue to improve for many months to come.

ORCHID VINTAGE –unraced December 2021 son of Droopys Sydney and Cicero who hails from the Yahoo Perlena dam line.  This lad is held in the highest regard and has shown throughout the rearing and schooling processes that he is without doubt a talented individual.  He has broken the magical 29 second barrier in the only two trials on his card to date with an initial 2895 Cork followed up with an even better 2873.  Weighing in at around the 80lb mark he will find plenty once he matures into his frame.

RADICAL NEWS – unraced September 2021 son of Good News and Down The Green who of course was such a memorable winner of the 2017 running of the famed Newbridge Oaks.  News could very well be the best yet from Down The Green if his 2904 trial at Cork earlier this month is anything to go by for that was his first time ever over four bends.  With much improvement to come whose to say where this lad will end up ?
