HUNT CUP – THE FINAL

A year ago Liz McNair sent out the 1-2-3 in the Bet365 Hunt Cup Final at Oxford. Runner-up King Ezra and third placed Havana Top Note are back for a second attempt

The latter is chasing his own double as the winner of last autumn’s Bet354 Challenge Cup over the same course and distance where he is also the track record holder.

Grand Prix semis

The semi finals of the ARC Grand Prix are supported by three very decent heats of a Category Three 450m event at Sunderland this evening.

The first two in the betting, Coonough Crow and Aayamzaa Sydney both go in the second semi final of the big event and both look likely to qualify in the five-runner event. Sydney may well go clear but Crow is plotted for a run on the rail and the defending champ would have no qualms about barging her way through if and when he tires later.

The opening heat should produce another battle between Savana Shay and Agile Ange. The former (from T1) prevailed in they met in the heats though Ange ran a blinder in defeat and is fancied to reverse the form.

The third semi may go to another ‘Ange’, in this case Greenwell Ange. It is arguably the most of the competitive of the three qualifiers.
