Sidarian Vega looked extra special when taking the final of the GMHD Insurances Juvenile Classic over 525 yards at Tralee on Friday.

Graham Holland’s runner had reached the final unbeaten and the previous week overcame trouble to record 28.58sec, easily the fastest of the night. It left people wondering what he capable of with a clear run.

The answer came in Friday’s final when he trapped to the front and went two lengths clear of Aguasantas rounding the first turn.

The son of Westmead Hawk pulled eight lengths clear down the far side, eventually scoring by nine and a half lengths in 28.18sec, just ten spots off the track record of Quietly.
