Slade Paddy suffered his first defeat in the Paddy Power Fair Warrior Stake when turned over in the semi-finals over 400 yards at Mullingar on Saturday.
John McGee’s runner suffered bumping on the run-up as he tried to secure a wide path. While Catherines Drico enjoyed a clean run up the inside.
The McGee runner got on terms by the bend but Catherines Drico pulled away on the home straight to eventually score by two and a half lengths in 21.47sec.
Kilgraney Kidd is the only unbeaten runner in the final after landing the second eliminator.
Thomas Buggy’s runner was led to the first turn by Afro Jack but gradually closed the gap and went on to score by half a length in 21.61sec.
