CONFEY TOWN’S luck finally changed at Sunderland on Tuesday.
The July 2012 son of Droopys Scolari and Norahs Choice, who arrived at Jeanette McNicholas’s kennel last autumn, was the beaten favourite in his first four contests on Wearside, losing them all in photo finishes (hd, hd, nk, nk), but there was no need for the camera in outing number five.
The 6-4f recovered the losses incurred with an all-the-way success in a very decent 27.56 for the 450 metres.
