FULL FORM

18:09 – 265M D3

The opening leg wouldn’t be my usual bag as sprints are often inconsistent race and this isn’t even top grade. For what it’s worth I think DECISIVE EMILIA in 1 should win this as she just can’t be any slower away than she has been of late but she’ll carry most of the units and for that reason I’d like to get her beat. Even more so as she’s 0 from 5 and the perk of a syndicate is that we can afford to increase our lines a spread the cost.

Selections – 1,2,3,4,5,6

18:28 – 480M (HCP)

The second leg is a handicap over 4 bends which is another race I wouldn’t really entertain, but again this could be a coupon buster for so many others so I’m keen to get some cover.

I’m always drawn to the wider drawn runners and 4,5 and 6 have enough appeal to them on their best recent times but 1 is the only railer in this field and usually starts fast so she’s worth having on the slip too.

Selections – (1,4,5,6)

18:43 – 480M OR

5 railers and one middle seed means this race will suffer trouble early on and that always represents a challenge.

COLEMANS FLYER in 3 should be winning a Maiden open before long although this trip is probably right at the bottom end of what suits him. I also think he’s a bang railer so his draw is clearly of concern. PUNRCK BANSHEE in 2 is also from Hove but should be held by the 3 on their times at that track although the 20m shorter trip here will suit him more but again he’s a bang railer.

OHTHEREORLAITH in the 1 box probably would have been happy wider out so I can see her moving off on the run up but if she’s able to hit the lids which she has done at Monmore then she’s probably the most likely winner

RYLANE CLEVER in 4 has fair enough sprint trials here for a dog who clearly wants this sort of trip and a bit more but his Limerick winning time doesn’t scream out open racer just yet

SHESELLSEASHELLS in 5 is another bang railer and although her time back in early August here wasn’t bad in this company, she’s not been seen since but the draw really scuppers her chance

BALLYARD RICKI in 6 tried to move in at Romford on the run up from the 5 box so from 6 he’s going to do it even more. He might avoid all the trouble though if he pings as the others will be moving inside too. His trial time round here last week was quick enough for an intro to suggest he’s probably the fastest dog in this race

Selections – OHTHEREORLAITH (1), BALLYARD RICKI (6)

18:58 – 265M OR

Typical sprint where a few have chances depending on how things go at lid rise but BALLYDORGAN DES in 5 should be taking this. He’ll be better suited to this draw than the last twice but he’s sandwiched between littermates SOUTHFIELD TOM & SOUTHFIELD BILLY. The latter holds sway over his brother and rates the chief danger. HEATHLAWN O HARA lacks a look round here but his Harlow trials suggest he’ll be winning opens in this sphere before long

Selections – BALLYDORGAN DES (5), SOUTHFIELD BILLY (6)

19:18 – 480M OR

On times this Maiden is head and shoulders above the contest earlier on the cards so there will likely be a couple to follow out of this race in defeat. That said, we’re looking for the winner and I can only see it coming from 1, 5 or 6. The former, BALLYNABEE TITAN bolted up in an A3 almost two weeks ago and it’s highly likely he’s even quicker now. He’s drawn inside two slow starters so should get things his own way on the inner. DOORUS JET will be staying on strongly at the death as will VELVET BOBBY in 3 and that pair would both be capable with clear runs but each probably want a bit further

GIZMO WEEJAY in 5 typically pings the lids so will be looking to go from the front like the 1 dog whereas GENTLE JET shouldn’t be able to lead that duo, but is potentially better early on than he showed last week. He’s probably the deserving favourite in here but this a deep enough open race, and the make-up means we shouldn’t have a great deal of traffic problems throughout

Selections – BALLYNABEE TITAN (1), GIZMO WEEJAY (5), GENTLE JET (6)

19:36 – 642M OR

Local grader BALLYKEVIN SARAH looks to have found a really good opportunity. He stays well and is a huge player on the clock but his main dangers come from either side I feel. PEAKY NEWSBOY won a 4 bend open last week here in very good style but it remains to be seen if he’ll get this trip as it’s a good distance 6 bend event but he should build up quite a lead. BLUE MONTAGUE in 3 finds lots of trouble but with a clear run I’d think he could be competitive

Selection – BALLYKEVIN SARAH (2)

19:56 – 500M OR

SCREEN DANCER & AVION CHARLIE are the two I see fighting this out but the latter will need to overcome a tricky looking draw in 5. The 6 dog will move in on the run up for sure which is a huge concern. The former, drawn in 1 is well out of season now and was an absolute gift last time out when sent off 4/1 for an A2 at her local Monmore. That winning effort suggests she’s not far off her best and she’s won well round here before

Selection – SCREEN DANCER (1)

20:17 – 265M OR

We saw the heats of this final last week and it was LOGGIES LITO who stole the show. Clearly this dog has bundles of ability (as mentioned in the preview) but this is a tougher test and a pretty decent standard final. KENTON TEN was sent off favourite against him but just wasn’t as alert early on but is still entitled to come on for the effort and has a nice draw so I’m happy to just play the pair

Selections – LOGGIES LITO (5), KENTON TEN (6)
