Peter Miller started with Central Park this week in his role of Director of Racing and it didn’t take him long to make his mark. From January the track will adopt the Ladbrokes initiative of paying £15 to every visiting trainer with an open race runner.
Barry Stanton, Central Park Consultant, said I’m delighted Peter has joined us he adds experience and direction to our racing team and we are now in a position to meet the demands of a five meeting a week racing schedule. This appointment has already seen his influence by him implementing open race trainer payments and I’m sure there will be many more positive initiatives that he will be putting forward over the coming months”
Central Park will be advertising regular Friday evening opens during next year and Stanton commented “We have one evening a week within the new SIS schedule and we aim to make this an evening everyone can look forward to and enjoy.
“We will compliment our graded fare with open races where possible and dependent upon our overall graded strength we will look to introduce the occasional Saturday evening meeting during the year as well”
