Pat Buckley had a 1-2 in the Marches International over 550 yards at Dundalk when his Paradise Silva led home Paradise Maverik.

St Leger winner Paradise Silva got a flyer from trap five and went straight across for the rail. He led by three lengths down the back straight from his kennelmate Paradise Maverick and Ballymac Matt.

Paradise Maverik, the Cesarewitch winner closed from the last turn but was still a neck adrift of Paradise Silva at the line. The winning time was 29.73sec.

It was the second victory for Buckley who won the race back in 2006 with Droopys Electric.

UK entries Swift Keith and Making Paper were fifth and sixth, the latter coming off lame and has been withdrawn from the Betfred Select Stakes at Nottingham next week.
