John Mullins’ Produce Stakes runner-up disputed the early lead with Old Joe Golden (15-8f) before going on to win by six and a half in 27.51.
James Chalkley’s Rappers Delight (5-1) clocked the night’s fastest sectional (5.30) on his way to a 27.63, two and a half length win over Bubbly Hunter in the second semi. The third qualifier saw a 1-2 for Heather Dimmock’s Holdem Rio (4-5f) and Likeitalot (10-1). The winner’s time was 27.71 and the distance was a length.
