Arena Racing Company (ARC) has announced that it will pay £50 towards the GBGB Greyhound Retirement Scheme Bond for British Bred greyhounds registered in 2022 to run at their stadia with their contracted trainers.
Greyhound Operations Director, Rachel Corden, said “An Owner currently has to contribute £100 towards the GRS Bond for a British Bred greyhound on registration, of which we are very happy to contribute £50.
“We hope that this will be a welcome benefit for our Owners and our Contracted Trainers, whilst also helping to support and promote British Breeding. The scheme will be in place throughout this year, and cover all British Bred greyhounds that are registered in 2022 that continue running at any our five stadia for their first year of racing, in the care of our Contracted Trainers.”
Liz Mort, Chair of the British Greyhound Breeders Forum said, “This is a positive move to support British Breeding and I’m delighted to hear the news.”
