BALLYMAC BAR – lightly raced April 2021 son of Ballymac Bolger and Motorbar Abilgail who showed toughness to go alongside his natural ability early in December around Shelbourne Park to overcome a non unsubstantial first bend bump to eventually come through late and pulling away to win in a more than decent 2883. Has since recorded 2853 around the same venue which is a run only pups of the highest class manage to clock. Mother Motorbar Abilgail has already produced the likes of Antigua Princess the 2020 English Oaks and 2021 Juvenile Champion. This lad looks sure to prove a solid and versatile competition greyhound for his new connections.
BALLYMAC FETA – lovely looking November 2021 bitch pup who won’t be seen anywhere near her best for a long time to come yet but still managed to record 2978 in the only trial on her card to date around Tralee. Given her age that has to go down as an extremely promising effort from this daughter of Ballymac Runner and Ballymac Breeze who of course has already well proven herself as a producer of the very highest class of greyhound with the likes of superstar Ballymac Wild amongst her famed offspring. This young lady looks destined to have a top class track career but there would already be an eye on her undoubted brood potential in the years to come.
BALLYMAC YAX – where this pup will end up is absolutely anybody’s guess but his potential is clear to see. Only pups of immense promise manage to do what this November 2021 son of Ballymac Cashout and Ballymac Minton did when recording a sensational 2936 on his first and so far only trial on the card around Tralee. A stunning blue pup many greyhounds hailing from the Ballymac set up have started life off much slower than this lad and have gone on to have open and competition class careers of the very highest standard. Reared and schooled to perfection there will be many eyes on securing a pup of this quality especially with the superb puppy calendar in the UK throughout 2023 where he will be eligible for events throughout the year.
BOXING BUDDIES – strapping 84lb son of Droopys Sydney and Playmistyforme who got his career up and running with a game come from behind victory at Cork recently when landing a competitive A5 race in 2932. Found plenty on the clock next time out to record 2898 and show he’s still very much on an upward curve. Mother is a full sister to the fabulous Roxholme Hat and has already proven herself as a producer of some decent winners in previous litters.
BAYONET CHARGE – stunning white and black son of Ballymac Bolger and Sing Dixie who won for the second time in his short career to date at Shelbourne Park recently in a highly promising 2914. Mother Dixie is a well proven producer of open class and this lad is very much heading in that direction.
DEALMAKER – stunning blue June 2021 pup who is another for open racing scene. Just 2 races on this lads card and couldn’t have been any more impressive when coming from behind in the second of those to win at Cork in 2888 landing a nice gamble in the process. Lots of improvement still to come from this son of Bull Run Bolt and Tibet who of course is the mother of 2021 English Puppy Derby Champion Make Noise. Lots to get excited about with this youngster who looks ideal for anybody looking for a raw pup who is already well on the way to learning his trade but no doubt still has plenty more to come.
GAYTIME CARSON – February 2021 youngster who has been showing all the hallmarks over a future stayer with eye-catching runs from the back of the pack in his 3 career starts to date. His last time out run was his most impressive to date with a last to first victory at Cork in 2948 when pulling well clear to the pick-up.
GLENVALE SVEN – unraced competition class prospect who recorded 2877 at Shelbourne Park on just his second trial over 4 bends. A son of the once in a lifetime greyhound Premier Fantasy and Mays Priceless who hails from a damline of the highest order and produced some good class winners in her maiden litter to Laughil Blake. Extremely surprising if this youngster isn’t seen burning up the tracks of the UK during the coming year.
GLENVALE BILL – unraced September 2021 son of Dorotas Wildcat and Droopys Kit a strong runner on the track and closely related to numerous open and competition class greyhounds including the likes of half brother Droopys Expert the 2017 All England Cup Champion and 2019 English Derby Finalist. Bill has recorded 2925 and 2914 in his last 2 trials around Shelbourne Park and looks a really promising sort who should start life off in the high grades with an open class career very much a possibility with many months of natural improvement still to come.
GLENVALE TIM – another unraced member of the September 2021 litter of Premier Fantasy and Mays Priceless and though he is behind his litter brother ‘Sven’ on the clock at this stage it would be no surprise to see him taking huge leaps forward on his most recent Shelbourne Park trial clock of 2962. Superbly reared and looks sure to be winning plenty here in the UK in the weeks and months to come.
GLENGAR GLOBAL – an unraced July 2021 bitch pup with huge potential. Weighing in for just the second trial of her life at a mammoth 74lb this young lady will have no trouble at all holding her own against larger dogs and showed she has the pace to match her size with an eye-catching 2932 effort in that aforementioned trial at Tralee. One that falls very firmly into the ‘could be anything’ category this daughter of Droopys Sydney and Bobsleigh Dream will attract plenty of attention.
JACKTAVERN BLACK – Unraced June 2021 son of Newinn Taylor and Skywalker Pearl weighed in at 79lb for his last trial at Cork and put in a stunning performance to record 2901 marking him out as an above average greyhound who should prove a very welcome addition to any kennel in the land. Skywalker Pearl was one of the fastest bitches of her generation and has gone on to produce many top-class greyhounds herself including the ageless Winetavern Curly who has been a win machine throughout his career. Very talented pup with his whole career yet to come.
KILARA VOLCANO – July 2021 son of the mighty Pestana and Kilara Diamond who won at just the second time of asking when coming from behind to record 2921 at Kilkenny recently. Mother Kilara Diamond is closely related to many open and competition and her pups from this maiden litter are being spoken about in glowing terms with some very promising runs already.
MOVE THE WORLD – July 2021 bitch pup by Laughil Blake and out of Coolavanny Twist who is closely related to many open and competition class greyhounds including the likes of Skywalker Rafa the Irish Puppy Derby Winner of 2017 , Coolavanny Pet a stunning open racer herself and of course the dam of the likes of Pestana amongst many others and Ballymac Beanie the 2020 Irish Oaks Winner. Move The World couldn’t have done anymore when coming from behind on just her second career start to win in 2909 Tralee. After taking up the running rounding the final turn she pulled further and further clear with the winning distance of 4 ½ lengths doubled by the time she reached the pick up. Looks all set to develop into an open race staying performer and no doubt at all looks one for the breeding paddocks in the future.
RAZLDAZL FRANKIE – the sky is the limit for this raw November 2021 pup who is a son of Ballymac Anton and from the maiden litter of Razldazl Lulu who is course is closely related to many open and competition greyhounds including her magnificent full brother Razldazl Peaky the 2020 Irish Derby consolation champion. This pup has many months of improvement to come and having recorded 2979 at Shelbourne Park when winning the only trial on his card by fully 6 lengths who knows where he will end up.
ROAD TO CROKER – July 2021 pup who showed she’s very much an open class prospect of the highest order when recording 1898 in a Shelbourne sprint trial at the end of January. A daughter of the sensational Droopys Sydney and out of Mandys Knight who of course is the mother of UK open race sprint star Early Knight. Looks destined for a highly successful track career before a brood career looks a distinct possibility.
SHEADOGUE VIEW – unraced June 2021 dog pup who is by the sensational 2019 Irish Produce Stakes Champion and and former Dundalk track record holder Grangeview Ten. Mother Kitmins Jenny has produced top grade and open class runners in her previous litters and this lad has the potential to be her best yet with him having scorched around Newbridge in 2939 in the very first and so far only four bend trial of his life. Hugely promising youngster who will be a welcome addition to any kennel.
STRICTLY PAUL – December 2020 dog who will undoubtedly be one for the open scene throughout this year. Two very high class wins on the card at Limerick recently with clocks of 2842 and 2850 to go alongside a number of extremely high class efforts over both two and four bends at Shelbourne Park. One for those looking for a high class sort that can go straight into work.
ZACONEY APOLLO – without a shadow of a doubt a young pup for the open class scene in the UK. Already a 4-time race winner from just 7 career races to date. Showcasing a huge amount of early pace in each of his victories this powerhouse son of Laughil Blake and Zaconey Belle put up a personal best performance of 2876 last time out at Newbridge and never looking in any danger after an explosive start from the traps.
