Matt Dartnall sent out five runners for the semi finals of the Towcester Racecourse Maiden and saw four of them make it through to next Saturday’s Final.
Quickest on the clock was Toast Of Newbury who came through his field to record to win for the fourth time in six races in 28.30. The other two qualifiers were both won in 28.57 on going rated .10 slow and with Forest Lewis through as the only wide seed, trainer Paul Clarke will be quietly confident of challenging Team Dartnall for the £3,000 decider.
The meeting will also feature the deciders of two £500 stakes.
