The Joe Dunne Memorial, which has already produced an Irish Derby winner in Slippery Robert, now has an Irish Oaks winner to its credit in Witches Belle (Droopys Scolari-Lemon Belle).

The Liam Twomey trained 6-1 chance was led to the run-in by Leamaneigh Mags but was always going strongest and pulled away to win by two and a half lengths in 28.44.

1-2 favourite Sidarian Pearl had failed to trap in her best style, moved into third, but already looked beaten when checking at the second bend.
