Escapism (Paradise Madison-Killacolla Glory, Apr 14) caused a shock in the final of the €15,000 Juvenile Classic at Tralee.
The Owen McKenna trained black was led up by Turree Bolt but surged clear at the third bend for a two and a half length win in 28.35, a near four length improvement on his semi final form.
Previously unbeaten favourite Lenson Rocky, who had clocked 28.35 when landing his semi, was hampered at the traps and ran on for third place.
