Belle Vue staged their 2016 awards night at the weekend – with four main winners including a triple dead heat for top bitch.
The top dog was Ballymac Jack (Cashen Legend-Miss Mitsy, Jul 14, owned by John Lamb and trained by John Walton.
He began the year in A3 and contested 30 races at the Zoo, plus open racing representing the track elsewhere. He won 13 of the 30 including nine A1s and an inter-track.
The bitches title was shared by Tibetan Sunrise, owned and trained by June McCombe, Efceelady, owned by Alan Cline and Mr K Garner and trained by Nigel Saunders, and Lemon Emer, jointly owned by Mr J Ford and trainer Nigel Saunders.
