Ballistic Kid (Rumble Impact-Ballistic Miss, Mar 13) put himself on the Yorkshire St.Leger radar when recording the fastest 661m time so far this year on Wednesday night. The Phil Sanderson trained Sheffield A2 performer reversed form with Monsters Ball to record 41.74 for the Doncaster six bender. (Last year’s final was won in 41.23).

It was a night when all four opens were won by Tykes. Colin Handford’s Castleford raider Master Lego (Scolari Me Daddy-Go To Mammy, Jun 13) kept his unbeaten Doncaster record with a 16.87 win for the 275m. He has now won nine of his twelves races – four different tracks – to date.

450 metre track record holder and 2-5f  Coolavanny Rebel (Droopys Scolari-Coolavanny Angie, Jul 13) was 37 spots slower when successful on his return for Elaine Parker.

Over the 483m course, the Meadow Court bred Carlos Court (Razldazl George-Stokette, Feb 14) justified 11-10 favouritism with an impressive 29.47 two length win over Decoy Legend.
