Ivan Hamilton had his licence withdrawn indefinitely by the NGRC stewards in February 2004 after his greyhound Springville Tom tested positive for azaperone after a race at Milendhall in August 2003. Today the Disciplinary Committee overturned the 2004 withdrawal to enable Mr Hamilton’s daughter Lauren Sawyer to apply for a licence to train greyhounds at his premises. The Director of Regulation remarked at the DC that he would not accept any licensing application from Mr Hamilton himself.

Louise Eccles was found to be in breach of Rules 152 (i), 174 (i)(b) and 217 in respect of a sample taken from the greyhound Bounty Bound at Perry Bar on May 3 201, which tested positive for Ampyrone. Mrs Eccles, who has since relinquished her Professional Trainer’s licence, was cautioned.
