Sheldan is fancied to land her second Category One race of the year in the Jay & Kay Coach Tours Kent St Leger over 714 metres at Crayford.

Kevin Boon’s bitch, who was successful in Monmore’s Summer Stayers Classic last month, clocked the fastest time in the semi-finals when beating Roxholme Dolly by four lengths in 44.98sec.

She has a good draw on the fence and is fancied to turn in a handy position before turning on the power on the second lap.

Golden Jacket runner-up Antigua Fire will go off the favourite for the race.  Mark Wallis’s runner came from off the pace to beat Millroad Susie in 45.28sec in the semi-finals but cannot afford to get far behind on the first lap.

Roxholme Dolly looks set certain to set a scorching pace.  Hayley Keightley’s bitch has dipped well under the 23 second barrier in the first two rounds but has struggled to keep that pace up for the second lap.  However trouble behind could help her cause.

Mark Wallis is double handed with Brigadier Bullet, who came form nowhere to land the other semi-final in 45.63sec.

Millroad Susie and local runner Beechgrove Bell complete the line-up.
