** UPDATE

Bubbly Puma had recorded the fastest time of the day (24.15) as the second trial session was drawing to a close. The last trialists were expected on the track at around 8.15pm on Monday evening.

Racing Manager Mark Arkell said: “Everything has gone pretty much to plan. There were a couple of hold-ups early on but nothing serious. We have also staged our first 575 metre trials with Slaneyside Sylvy doing 35.27. So far, one dog has been knocked over during the day but not injured.

“We have room for 99 dogs at each of the six sessions. Seamus Cahill and Kevin Hutton are both booked for trials. There is limited availability, but we will try and fit open race trainers in if they get in touch.”

Trials continue on Tuesday and Wednesday and racing returns to the track on Friday.
