bags-trophy-cut-outBELVOIR BAY (Peterborough)

He went very well in his trial and was only eight spots slower than the open race winner. We are happy enough with the draw which seems to suit him away from home though when he runs here he seems to prefer the middle.

SWIFT DARTMOOR (Towcester)

He is a very fast dog who runs in our top heat, though I wouldn’t suggest he is a specialist sprinter. He went reasonable well in his trial and there doesn’t seem to be much between them.

GEELA GAGA (Sheffield)

I fancy Gaga to do well here. Given a choice, I would have put him in three. He doesn’t run Sheffield particularly well but has 16.19 winning form over the course and distance; a repeat of that would probably be good enough.

REVILO FOX (Nottingham)

I think this is the toughest race on the card to call with about two lengths between the field on trial form. Fox’s ideal distance is really 420-460m, but if he leads, I don’t think he will be caught.

BRAMBLE BRUNO (Newcastle)

A year ago he would have been a 1-2 chance in this company but he has had a few problems and looks a bit off his best. His trial was disappointing but the kennel have trained him with today in mind. Hoping for the best, really.

HUNTER BEN (Romford)

He is a decent A1 winner at home but is a genuine middle runner. He would need to take a flyer from six to have any chance and looking at the race and trial comments of the five, I think we might be on the wrong side of him.
