Monmore were heavily oversubscribed for the Ladbrokes Puppy Derby which must rate as one of the most competitive puppy competitions of recent years.
With middles and wide seeds at a premium, 28.40 form was not enough to get some of the railers among the 36 places, or even the 14 reserve spots.
