Miss Pestana – unraced July 2021 bitch pup , a stunning looking blue brindle and white lady who showed plenty of pace despite looking green and in need of the experience when clocking 3037 (+10) around Waterford. Sure to improve plenty in the coming months and this daughter of Pestana and Dream Believer (proven producer of top grade and open class) is all set to grade on nicely and win plenty here in the UK for her new connections.
Faith Matters – super unraced July 2021 open class bitch prospect from the renowned breeding and rearing establishment of the McCusker family. Faith Matters is a daughter of Bigmans Grainne who of course if the mother of amongst many other open and competition class greyhounds Ice On Fire. Breeding doesn’t get much better than this and any prospective new owner can rest assured that this youngster has been given the perfect start to life with rearing and feeding that money simply can’t buy. Just the 1 trial on her card when despite showing obvious signs of greenness she still managed to record a sensational 2939 around Shelbourne Park. This young pup looks destined for the open scene here in England and with her not reaching 2yo until next July she falls firmly into the ‘could be anything’ category. Sure to attract the attention of all those with a keen eye not just on a young bitch for open racing but as a future brood prospect in the years ahead.
Rapido Shark – unraced July 2021 dog pup by Laughil Blake and from Cherry Lane who in her first litter to Ballymac Best produced some nice types who are only just getting going but are showing real pace on the track. Dysert Sherlock from the first litter is already a 4-time winner from just 7 starts and only last week ran out an impressive winner of an A1 at Enniscorthy. He’s a young pup heading straight for an open class career and this lad has been showing all the right signs at home on the gallop and in his light schooling.
Comer Logan – real nice March 2021 dog pup who has his whole career ahead of him. By Skywalker Logan and out of Superb Beauty who was a top-grade performer over both 4 and 6 bends both in Ireland and the UK. Broke the 30 second barrier at Kilkenny when recording 2998 in the very first 4 bend trial of his life. Sure to progress for months to come and will quickly move through the grades.
Avongate Versace – lightly raced October 2020 youngster who put up a stunning all the way performance at Kilkenny when beating good class opposition by 4 lengths in 2901. Has everything needed to win plenty here in the UK including at the likes of Yarmouth where the long run to the turn should suit him ideally. Son of Ballymac Best and from the maiden litter of Avongate Hazel.
Dance Petro – lightly raced son of Ballymac Vic and Dance Mollie who produced winners in her first litter to Scolari Me Daddy. Dance Petro showed great promise in his first 2 trials over 4 bends when recording 2982 and 2973 around Kilkenny and winning both of those trials by a long way. Subsequently in 3 races he’s shown himself to be very much in need of experience but this is a dog who should quickly learn and it would be no surprise at all to see him moving through the UK graded system at a rapid rate of knots.
Koba – lightly raced March 2021 dog pup by the sensational Ballymac Kingdom and from Holycross Heidi who produced 4-time UK open race winner Milton Harbour in her last litter to Ballymac Bolger. Koba is a wide runner which will appeal to many who also stays well and demonstrated this to full effect when winning a decent race at Enniscorthy early in September from behind in 2917. Really promising type and looks all set to enjoy a solid career here in England for his new connections.
Skipping Sally – lightly raced February 2021 daughter of Pat C Sabbath and Riverside Annie who is a well proven producer of top grade and open class types. Sally is yet to get off the mark in 7 starts in Ireland but has been learning on the job having gone into her racing career very lightly schooled. She stays well and will prove to be a solid performer on the graded scene at any track in the UK.
Kod Girl – just the 1 race on the card of this November 2020 lady’s card. A daughter of Pat C Sabbath and Oldburrin Diva who in her first litter to Ballyanne Sim produced dual UK open race winner Farneys Holly. Improvement to come from this youngster.
Long Time Bid – unraced full sister to Unlock Unblock who connections could scarcely believe managed to record 1945 in the very first trial on her card around Shelbourne’s 350-yardj trip. Despite heading to the track very lightly schooled this bitch put in a performance that delighted the McCusker team with them safe in the knowledge that there is plenty left in the locker. Very pacey young lady who should progress into a real nice type for next year and like her sister has brood potential in the future.
Wee Fat Mac – unraced full brother to both Unlock Unblock and Long Time Bid. Weighing in at a nicely sized 76lb this strapping young dog pup scorched around Shelbourne Park in a fantastic 1929 over 350 yards winning the sole trial on his card by an ever increasing 11 lengths. Looks a real nice prospect and no surprise at all to see him competing in and winning in open class in the months ahead. Again reared and schooled with absolutely no expense spared by the McCusker team in order to give him the best possible start to his life.
Burrow Bingo – promising unraced May 2021 dog pup who stopped the clock in 1842 at Newbridge in the very first trial of his life. A son of Tarsna Havana and Monochrome Lady who hails from the Tina Marina dam line and herself was a winner of a first round heat of the Red Mills and NTSC Unraced Bitch Stake at Newbridge in 2019. Looks a very nice pup in the making.
On The Snoze – unraced April 2021 bitch pup from the maiden litter of Ya Little Onion and by Ballymac Bolger. Has shown real promise in both the trials on her card with an 1847 sprint run at Newbridge followed up with a 3009 effort at the same track over 4 bends. Nice young bitch with the whole career ahead of her.
Move Over Syd – unraced full brother to Move Over Josh who due to his huge 86lb frame has been given plenty of time to mature. Make no mistake this is a pup of huge pace as highlighted by his 4-length winning trial run when clocking 2953 first time over 4 bends at Clonmel. Talented sort who looks to have a very bright future indeed and based on the running of his brother could very well come into his own over stern tests of stamina.
