Yarmouth celebrate 70 years of racing with a special meeting and sweepstake final on Wednesday.
Racegoers will be treated to admission, racecard and their first drink of the night at 1946 prices “I have no idea what two shillings and three pennys is worth” stated Yarmouth assistant racing manager Ben Mannall. (Its about 11p Ben!)
The feature event of the night is an A4 kennel sweepstake final with £1,946 in prize money, probably £1,500 to the winner with local trainer Maurice Rice sponsoring a ‘Jura Kennel’ consolation stake for the runners who finished third and fourth in each of Saturday’s qualifiers.
