Wiki Waki Woo’s domination in the final of the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket at Crayford has earned her the February GBGB-sponsored Greyhound of the Month award.
The trophy will go to owner Jonathan Miles following extremely strong support for his bitch in the voting by the Greyhound Writers’ Association that saw her win the poll by a wide margin.
Trainer Angie Kibble had Wiki Waki Woo just right for the Category One decider, the bitch taking control in the early stages and staying on well to keep the challenge of Bubbly Time at bay by a length in 44.49, the fastest of the year for the 714 metres at the Kent circuit.
“The award is great news and I know that owner Jonathan Miles will be very proud and happy to receive it,” commented Kibble. “I believe that she will get further, but no plans have been made about the future yet. I shall have to discuss that with Jonathan, who will be responsible for the final decision.”
