Pat Buckley might be swerving Towcester this year but the sprint track record holder Flashing Willow will be making the trip over for a fabulous ARC Kent Silver Salver at Central Park on Sunday.

Originally set for 36 runners, the local management opted not to swell the first round with local graders, but instead chose to restrict the competition to 24 runners, first three to qualify with a £12,500 first prize for the eventual winner in a fortnight’s time.

In addition to the Irish entry, Sprinter of the Year Gougane Jet heads a powerful team from the Wallis Kennel including exciting recent arrival Quarteira. Kevin Boon’s Farneys Trend will have plenty of followers along with the in-form Ballymac Slapup from John Mullins’ kennel.
