We can only assume that the NEWCASTLE bookies must be missing out on their lottery winning lifestyles while they are banned from the stadium. Three successful open race trainers, and the area’s leading tipster, made nine selections between them on Tuesday, and managed one shot on target. For the record, the debutante Steve Anderson went £25 win on 5-2 chance Ballyhoe Alpha and must feel like he hit the jackpot having only lost £12.50. There seems no need to shame the other trio by name. But y0u know who you are Jimmy Wright, Jimmy Fenwick and Mark Cranston!

But when Carl Perry has a losing night, you know you are in trouble. A win for Referendum limited the damage to a £45 loss. So what of the SHEFFIELD new boys? Darren Driver placed all his faith in Roxholmes and was left with ‘theoretical’ empty pockets. Glynn Hobbs went for two and the ‘wrong one’ won (£0 @ 2-1). So a bit like the player whose team have lost 6-1 and he scored the one – a mere £10 loss.

Later today we will be asking the sorry seven to pick 53 lottery numbers.

Killacolla Luca (R1 T1) is from our kennels. The drop in class will help him as he is void of any early pace. This race has plenty of early in it and can’t see every dog getting a clear run. With the newcomer (T2) having two comments of ‘middle’ on her form. Any trouble early doors will leave Luca handy off the second bend and from there is where he does all of his running staying a lot better than any of his rivals in this heat. £30 win

Westforth Hugo (R8 T6) is my nap. He made a lot of ground up last week in the top a1 which was a messy race round the first bend, although there is plenty of pace in tonight’s heat which looks considerably easier than last week. I can see Hugo making his move the back straight and round the thirrd bend. He also has recent form with T1 & T2 beating them comfortably and cant see them turning that form around. £40 win
Bellini Boy (R9 T4) Another one from our kennels she ran a good race after getting shuffled to the back last week and although finishing last made a lot of ground up in a very close finish last week. A slightly better exit will see her turning handy and repeating the time of two races ago time she should be winning tonight £30 win

Krista McNicholas

Slap Dash (R7 T4) This bitch is a young improving puppy who won last time out despite been held up at the 2nd bend. I think there is still more to come from her. £100 win

Chris Leeson
Ameilas Jem (R4 T4) Loves handicaps looks well placed in here  £100 win

I start tonight in the first with Pam Cross’ Rockey Princess (R1 T6). I’m not expecting the clock to be broken in this A9 affair but I do think this bitch has too much speed for the grade. She tends to run off the bends but even doing so she clocked a 29.56 in a recent trial and that’s more than good enough to win this. Pre lockdown she’s gone even faster than that, so with a clear run and natural improvement, I think she should take all the beating. £50 win

My final pick goes to the ever popular Turnthatphoneoff (R4 T1) for Irene Barnard. This dog has had some good chances of late but hasn’t been getting there in time. Tonight I think the race falls nicely into his paws. This is a race where most of them are struggling for form and with Skeard Brandy being in 2 I think he has a dream draw as that dog tends to love off wide coming off the second bend. £50 win

Nigel ‘The Cash Machine’ Tanner

Nigel starts tonight with Swift Nando (R6 T1) for Paul Burr. Nigel said, “It’s a very difficult card tonight. Swift Nando could be handy off the 2 nd bend and run on to win.” £30 win
Second selection for Nigel is Corcass Liberty (R10 T5)) for Linda Brown. Nigel said, “ This bitch had a switch to Romford on Friday night, a change of scenery might just of put her right for tonight.”  £70 win

Craig Samuels
Craig has gone for just the single selection on tonight’s card and that vote goes too Wardys Legend (R6 T4). Craig said, “I’m struggling with this card tonight! I think Wardys Legend has been unlucky the last couple of runs should lead, hopefully can get away from them!” £100 win
