English Derby runner-up Droopys Ward had his first trial back at Wimbledon yesterday since winning the 600 yards race on the Night of Stars Card at Shelbourne Park in November writes Jason Craddock.
In a solo workout, Paul Young’s runner produced 28.85sec for the 480 metre trip on going rated as 0.30sec slow.
Derby quarter finalist Roxholme Ted wasn’t much slower when recording 28.91sec.
Over 273 metres, Torphin Bluesky went quickest when winning his trial by seven lengths in 16.31sec (-15).
