John Walton, who switched from Belle Vue to Monmore in February, had his last runners on Saturday night.
Racing manager Tony Williamson said: “The reason for immediate termination of contract is the journey of mostt days of a 3 hour each way trip by motorway to the track which he and his family no longer want to have to face.
“My colleagues and I would like to thank John and his family team as they where totally professional and we wish them all the best for the future.”
Williamson confirmed that the track are looking to recruit another trainer.
